Do Not Buy This Camera November 14, 2008 Sylvia Please see past the perks and notice the simple problem that will waste your money! The camera has issues with batteries, by issues i mean it will not work on your standard set of batteries (alkaline) because of the large screen and other reasons. I only receive a couple of shots from the batteries, then they die. Also you will be unable to use a view finder because there ISNT one. This means there is no option to save the batteries using a view finder. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA.
Run don't Walk away from this camera November 8, 2008 R. S. Little (farmingville, NY United States) Run fast, Run far. This camera doesn't want to operate on any batteries. On FE-310 # 2 so far in two months and the same problem. Tech support advises not to use alkaline batteries(which in fact come with the camera). Told to use NiMH batteries - NADA. Spent about $50 on batteries and chargers. They also gave me "Olympus" rechargeable batteries - still NADA. Sending camera # 2 back to them - hopefully to get a refund.
ok October 13, 2008 Cuicui Lu (Tulsa, OK, USA) I do not say the product is not good. Just I do not like it because it is too thick in shape and I do not like to change batteries too much.
Won't Work With Rechargable Batteries October 6, 2008 Michael Clouser (Fort Wayne, IN USA) Don't buy this camera!!! It will NOT work with NiMH batteries (the manual says it will work with NiMH) and it doesn't fully discharge alkaline batteries. I only got about 50 pictures on the included set of alkaline batteries. I also didn't think that the pictures were all that sharp, for a 8MP camera. The shutter response is very slow and the face recognition doesn't work until the face fills a large part of the screen. Overall this is a poor camera.
Good Buy September 30, 2008 Lu (Johnstown, PA USA) I purchased the FE-310 and think it is a good buy for the money. I am still learning how to use all the controls.
