great 3 legs September 7, 2008 Shooter Gal (NorthCenteral world) What a wonderful idea to add a third leg. The two legged ones just never worked well.
Cool looking but it's not really useful August 30, 2008 Steve M. Willinger (Bristol, TN) I thought this was a good idea when I first checked it out but now that I have used it, I see my purchase was a mistake. I went online to check out alternative tripods and bought a small aluminum frame tripod that proved to be a very effective soulution. The specific issues were the weight of the Flip Cam would cause the tripod to easily become unbalanced and fall over...also, it's too short, not enough height to be of any real value. I would suggest that the manufacturer of the Flip ATR1B increase its height about 3-4 inches more which might make it more stable and increase the height so that you didn't have to set it on top of books or something to get a good self-video while at your desk.
Super Cool! August 28, 2008 Hockey Dad (Los Angeles CA) This little product made me a hero at our family reunion. I used it with a small 8MP digital camera and it worked great. The tripod can be used on uneven surfaces and at odd angles. The result - a great family picture, framed correctly - with me in it!
15 bucks for this tiny thing...? August 7, 2008 M. Randall (Allen Park, MI) Honestly this thing is pretty silly. Yeah, its pretty much a necessary purchase if you plan on making vblogs with the Mino or any other sort of video where you need it to be still... I'm not upset with the product. However, you will laugh when you how small this thing is. I think calling this a tripod is a bit misleading... Mini tripod is more like it. Its barely any taller then the mino itself. Never the less.. it does its job well and the bendy legs help with certain surfaces. The price is awful though. 15 dollars for this? There is a 3rd party version that is exactly the same for 3 dollars.. i'd say grab that one instead if you get the chance. This is a over-priced, small accessory that at least does it's job well.
Funny little tripod July 10, 2008 Richard K. Gray This thing is the best and weirdest looking thing imaginable. You can contort it into the most functional positions. The people wjo make it are so OCD that they even include matching feet to match the camer color that you have (so San Francisco!)
